Aurora is a multiplayer action flying game with battle royale elements. Players leave trails behind them, that can either be harmful or helpful. If you’re the enemy, you want to avoid crashing into your enemy’s trails, but if you fly into your own trail, 3D shapes are formed in the sky that creates a new permanent obstacle for enemies. As the air space reduces in size, you want to claim as much as area as possible, which increases the chances of your enemy flying into your trails and shapes. The last plane flying wins.
Along with 5 other individuals, we developed Aurora in a span of 9 days. As the vision holder of the project, I was responsible to share the vision with the rest of the team, and describe to them what exactly was fun about the game. I was also responsible for populating Trello with various tasks for the team and assigning them to the individual team members. I playtested our build frequently, reported bugs/glitches to our team, and made sure we developed a functioning build that met our initial goals.
